DALLAS - The Family Law firm of McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing, L.L.P., is proud to announce that name partner Mary Jo McCurley and partner Carmen Eiker have earned recognition in D Magazine's 2010 listing of the Best Women Lawyers in Dallas.

This inaugural listing of the area's top women lawyers is based on nominations made by attorneys from across North Texas. The full listing is featured in the May issue of D Magazine and is available at http://www.dmagazine.com/ throughout the year.

Ms. McCurley, previously recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Texas by Law & Politics Media, is a former chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and former vice president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also a founding member of the Dallas Alliance of Collaborative Family Lawyers.

Ms. Eiker has the distinction of holding dual specializations from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law and Civil Trial Law. Fewer than 3 percent of all Texas attorneys are board certified in two areas of law.

Ms. McCurley and Ms. Eiker are among several attorneys at McCurley Orsinger to earn professional accolades this year.

Dallas associates Monica Cruz and Stephen Orsinger, along with San Antonio associates Porter Corrigan and Amber Liddell Alwais, were named to the list of 2010 Texas Rising Stars, which recognizes the state's top young lawyers. The list appeared in both the April 2010 issue of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Rising Stars, an annual publication from Thomson Reuters.

Texas Rising Stars selections are based on nominations from fellow attorneys who previously were honored on the prestigious Texas Super Lawyers list. Selection is limited to those attorneys age 40 or younger and those who have been practicing law for 10 or fewer years.
